"Due to popular demand and this timekeeper's ringing conscience, results from the beer mile of March the 29th have been exhumed. Already tipped by some as a taste of what could be Westech's finest beer miling season ever, Bryan "Boneyard" Bissell immediately began a rant to the effect of "laying down two sub-10 beer miles in one night, and sandwiching some Clark sluts in the middle of it all" as per the great legacy of one Mike Van Ninwegen. Past conquests aside, the event was full of current upstarts, with the likes of cunning senior Matt Nettleton making a bold step into the foray. Other greats made their presence felt, although presumed varsity squad members Solomon and Moss rested on the sidelines, as well as ironmen Buccola and Hazel. yet perhaps in the greatest feat of dedication and sacrifice since kraus's "shampoo injury" last summer, a hobbled solomon ignored his trainer's wishes and went through with a 40 chug, to astounding results. we all salute the keg belly. Future results will be posted more promptly, for fear of "punishment" from my better half this weekend.......... on second thought, expect most beer mile posts to be severely delayed." - Jon Kraus
