Wednesday Evening pre-Christmas Derby

My first foray into the world of Beer Miles. I completed an official 7:36. Thanks to Coach Joel Bryan, Beer Handler Tad Trausch, my wife and kids, and of course the illustrious Jim Finlayson for allowing me to grace the same beer mile track. As a rookie, I nearly DQ'd myself by showing up with Stella Artois, which is only 330ml. Thankfully Jim caught my error and traded me two Phillips Blue Buck and two Shaftsbury Cream Ale. Regulation beers, fully consumed, in about 20 seconds a piece.Though I'm now a 37 year old father of three, I was able to channel my inner punk rocker. Once upon a time, 10 beers a night was standard. These days, two beers and I'm tipsy. I distinctly remember standing in a parking lot with teenage girls, showing off my swagger by shot-gunning a warm can of iron horse lager (8%). Those were the days...
