The 1st RDRC Beer Mile. The results of this race may be sniffed at by purists, but if you're a beer mile "purist", get over yourself, LOL. Because in Singapore it's not possible to get a permit to run an event involving alcohol on a running track (yes, you can run a guerrilla event, but we're not going to be doing that), we held this beer mile in a carpark. Notes: The overall distance was one mile, measured with a surveyor's wheel. BUT, because the layout of the carpark was not perfect, to make up the correct distance, runners drank a beer, then ran three laps (of around 175m), then drank another beer and ran two laps, then another beer and two more laps, then the final beer and the last two laps. Lap count: 3-2-2-2. Whaddya gonna do?Everyone had fun. No one (!) puked. More races to come!
